Friday Flowers

I hate to admit that I am feeling ever so slightly Christmassy, I try and stave off these feelings until at least the beginning of December but it is exactly one month until Christmas today!
When I saw these beautiful tulips they reminded me of Spring, but as I gathered vase, tray and the mercury glass accessories it all started to have a rather wintery look, giving just a hint of Christmas.

Hope you all have a lovely weekend

Friday Flowers

It is really starting to feel like Autumn here, the last few mornings have been very misty and lots of the trees have lost their leaves, though the Beech hedge is now in its full autumn glory. This huge Chrysanthemum and little rusty hen echo exactly the colours I'm seeing out of my window at the moment.

A happy Autumn weekend to you all.

Friday Flowers

A bouquet of greeny white roses, each stem wrapped in a page from an auction ledger dated 1887.

And after the flowers have faded there are still the precious pages to examine and treasure. The perfect bouquet for a Beau Papier follower!

Have a perfect weekend

Friday Flowers

It has been rather dull and grey here for the last few days, and since the clocks changed last weekend it gets dark so early!
So to bring a little sunshine out for the weekend, small sunflowers to brighten the dullest days and as a rather belated nod to Halloween, small white pumpkins and some very pretty gourds.

Have a wonderful and hopefully sunny weekend.
