Friday flowers from Spain, not that you would immediately think, oh yes a picture of flowers taken in Spain, how typical, how Spanish......not!!
Let me explain that here in the north of Spain there are Florists, but not as they are in England selling bunches of seasonal flowers, in beautiful colours for a reasonable price. Here they sell Chrysanthemums, Roses, Gypsophylla, and Carnations by the stem and often in brightly dyed colours!! So what is a photographer to do?
This one went to the local fruit and vegetable market where she was lucky enough to find a stall with one bunch of Sweet William for sale......obviously picked from the owners garden. Great relief and smiles all round.
On the way home I popped into the local Todo por 100 shop (everything for 1euro) not strictly true but bargains to be found and picked up five little white ceramic spoons for 50centimos each.
So these are indeed pictures of friday flowers from Spain........sorry there's no view of the sea and blue skies, you'll just have to imagine those just out of shot!
Hope you all have a lovely weekend.
