Friday Flowers

Today I bring you Sunshine!!

I don't know what the weather has been like where you live, but here we've been having dark days, pouring rain and high winds. Then very occasionally a day of blue skies and sunshine....what a joy!
Yesterday was such a day, and it allowed me to take some pictures of this Mimosa, yellow and sunny to brighten even the darkest day.

Hope you have some sunshine this weekend
Georgie

Mimosa! I haven't been able to find it in local florists for ages now. Happy New Year, Georgie! (Now fingers crossed that Google will play nicely and accept this post - they have not been very co-operative lately).

Hi Marianne, hurrah google seems to have co-operated!!
Mimosa is one of those flowers I shouldn't like....yellow with a sweet powdery scent, a cross between face and talcum powder. But as soon as I see it I have to buy it.
I can heartily recommend Martin and the Magpie....a magical florist

Kay....please plug away!!! you are totally forgiven. There was a huge Mimosa tree in a town near me, I always forget they are pretty hardy and always think of them being for warmer climes, now what I would really love would be a Jacaranda tree, but alas it would be too cold here.

Kay - unfortunately Hungerford is a long way from Anglesey. I look at your website and - not just for mimosa - wish you could open a branch (no pun intended) up here!
