Chelsea Flower Show

My favourite picture so far taken on Press Day (Monday) at The Chelsea Flower Show. I think you know me well enough by now that I find beauty in the detail, and although all the big gardens are being mobbed by photographers and camera crews I often find my favourite things amongst the trade stands and smaller Artisan Gardens.

This was taken on a trade stand which sold plant and cloche supports and slate labels called Plant Belles. Credit where credit's due I just turned up and photographed it, all the hard work and beautiful display and use of colour had already been done, though I was very lucky with the light and my new 105mm macro lens which gives the most wonderful blur in the background might have helped!!

The 4.00am starts have taken their toll and I'm now feeling rather tired to say the least and have hundreds more pictures to go through. Suffice it to say that I had a wonderful time and the weather was just about perfect. Believe me you don't hear photographers say that very often. I'll share lots more pictures next week.

This weekend is a long one here in the UK we have a Bank Holiday on Monday so I can get my body clock back to something like normal, and I have a photography play date on Sunday with my sister Liz. Herb pots and lifestyle shots are on the agenda......can't wait.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend
Georgie
